Recently, MCC5 was awarded the bid for the brickwork and installation of the coking system under the EPC contract for Qarmet Steel Company's No. 8 and No. 9 coke oven project in Kazakhstan. 

Qarmet Steel Company is a cornerstone of Kazakhstan's steel industry and the only fully integrated steelmaker in Central Asia. The project is located within the company's plant site in Temirtau, Karaganda Region. The scope of work primarily covers the brickwork, mechanical installation, electrical installation, and oven heating commissioning for two 54 chamber 7.6 meter combined heating top charging coke ovens, together with their associated auxiliary and support facilities. These ovens represent a mainstream modern design globally and are core equipment for achieving efficient, low carbon, and clean coking production in the steel industry.

Upon completion, the project will provide strong support for Qarmet in building an intelligent and modernized green coking plant, and will help set a new benchmark for green metallurgical technology upgrades across Central Asia.
